Dr. Ambrish Mithal

The Chief Mentor of Indiandiabetics.com is Dr. Ambrish Mithal, Senior Consultant in Endocrinology and Academic Coordinator, Apollo Center for Obesity, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. Dr. Mithal has been instrumental in establishing one of India’s premier endocrine and diabetic services, and DNB (endocrinology) training program at Apollo.

Dr Mithal was the First DM in Endocrinology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and was subsequently additional Professor at the Sanjay Gandhi PGI, Lucknow, till 1998, when he joined Apollo Delhi.

  • 1. Fogarty Fellowship at Harvard.

  • 3. Doctor of the Year in 2005 by the DMA.
Sonik Porwal

Sonik has worked for over 15 years, of which significant time was spent as part of India national sales organizations of the pioneer in IT in India - HCL-HP, as well as 3 of the top 10 IT companies – Oracle, Microsoft and EMC. Sonik has understanding and experience of building and delivering on business plan for India across geographies, with special expertise in managing channels and alliances. Prior to this assignment, he was designated as Director - Channel Sales, EMC India Private Limited. Sonik is an Electrical Engineer by training, and holds an MBA in Marketing from IMS Indore. Sonik was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age and he felt the need of Indian content to manage diabetes.
Dr Ganesh Jevalikar

Dr Ganesh Jevalikar is a pediatrician trained in prestigious Grant Medical College, Mumbai. He has been trained in pediatric endocrinology in Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. He has keen interest in type 1 diabetes and has been actively involved in diabetes education programmes.
Amit U Jain

Amit is a first generation entrepreneur, with experience of over 15 years in IT, finance and management consulting. Amit is an engineer by training and holds an MMS from IIPS, Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He is also a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Lead Auditor: Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) from BSI, India.
